Holiday Events to Consider This Season

by Dec 13, 2018

Part of enjoying the end of the year is spending time doing festive things. Whether on your own or with loved ones, going to seasonal events creates memories to cherish, allowing you to embrace the spirit of the season. If you’re not sure what to do this season, we’ve got a few suggestions for you.

Take note, we’re going to focus on the South Carolina area, specifically around Charleston. Not to say you can’t take our suggestions if you don’t live nearby, but naturally, events in one area aren’t the same in other cities.

Events

In Charleston, the lovely city is vibrant with holiday cheer and décor, so don’t miss out!

Festival of Lights – A common event in many towns, Festival of Lights tours drivers through a wonderland of beautifully designed light ornamentation. Set pathways will guide vehicles along the way as they take in the holiday spectacle. This event will continue until January 1st, and expected ticket costs are around $20.

Charleston Christmas SpectacularMusic, comedy, and Christmas! Hard to go wrong with all three. This great set of performances is occurring all month before the holidays, held at the Charleston Music Hall. If you’re looking for some classical performance or a good night of humor, be sure to check this out.

Initial ticket prices start at $19, up to $71 if you’re looking for dinner and a show.

Holiday Movies – If you really want to get in the mood, nothing says Christmas like a select list of holiday films. Also, at the Charleston Music Hall, you can catch a holiday themed showing or two. Up this year is “Elf,” starting on Monday, December 17th.

Ticket prices start at $8. Or, $40 if you want dinner and a movie too.

A Christmas Story – Speaking of films, while you might settle in for watching a film classic, you can also catch a live performance of it too.

A Christmas Story “The Musical” will be shown at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center between December 22nd and 24th. Ticket prices will range between $37 to $47. You can also get more information about the event here.

We Three ThievesHere’s a little something to get everyone involved! We Three Thieves is an audience aware event which offers food and drink along with a show. A mystery and a way to spice up the night, it’s a fun way to celebrate the month while getting a jolly old time. Just watch out for coal.

The event takes place at the Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theatre until December 26th.

There you have it! This year, why not go the extra mile and explore the lovely town of Charleston? We at Mobile Attic are wishing you the best holiday season, and as always, hope you have a wonderful end of the year.
